Biggest Loser Challenge

The Musabvunda Biggest Loser(fat)and biggest gainer (muscle) 2023 was done from February 5 to March 31st 2023, the main idea was to create a platform for people to reach their goals and targets as a team and be accountable to each other. The challenge saw more than 200 people taking part and they had access to experts in the 8 weeks of the challenge. The experts included Doctors, Nutritionists -for their meal plans, Physio Therapists as well as resident coaches to aid in the work outs.

Godwin Simbarashe Mhaka

a.k.a GS Fitness. I am personal  trainer ,spin instructor and a professional card holder in bodybuilding.Im the current  World Fitness Federation of Zimbabwe  president.I started bodybuilding  and personal training in 2014 after retirement from  athletics.I won more than 12 local titles  including  the Mr  Zimbabwe title .I also once won World  kuwait Cup in 2017 and African Championships in 2018.In 2022  i did World Championship  in Indonesia under Musabvunda sponsorship and came second.As for now im preparing  for Asia Pacific  in Japan on 17 Sept 2023 and World championship  on 5 November 2023 in Germany.

M Kirsty Baxter

A Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner of over 7 years of clinical practice, with a Masters in Nutrition. My specialisms include metabolism, including diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and weight loss.  I published research on weight loss in 2021. My training background is in long distance road runner with over 25 year of experience and fitness competitions, participating in 11 Bikini Fitness competitions in Zimbabwe and SA. I had four top five placings, title holder of the Ms Zimbabwe Masters Bikini Fitness 35+ and the 2019 National Body Building show, and I participated in the Arnold Classic Invitational, SA in May 2017. I will be supporting this amazing challenge with two diffidently structured meal plans and posting info once a week only.

Tanaka Samudzi

Physiotherapist, areas of interest:  clinical work ; sports  Physiotherapy  and work place ergonomics consultations for work related musculoskeletal injuries and region pain disorders/ syndromes  . I am  a clinical educator for junior trainees and l also work at Sally Mugabe Central hospital. I am highly interested in managing chronic and acute sport injuries, orthopedics cases (fractures, arthritis ,sprains etc)  including non operative fracture  management and neurological conditions.

Dr Chipo

Hello ❤️. I’m Chipo, a fitness chaser and Obstetrician Gynaecologist. While losing weight as part of the challenge, I’ll be providing guidance from an OBGYN perspective over the duration of the challenge. I’m also a Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon and Researcher looking for solutions to reduce female illness and deaths and one of these interventions is definitely including exercise in your lifestyle and maintaining a healthy weight. I’ll be happy to respond to any questions you may have as well. ❤️
